Best wishes to our friend and fellow cyclist Paul Sarver who in an earlier message to the mail list stated: "I will ride in spirit only this year as I am out of town for a while".
Well, in this case "out of town" means Iraq. Paul deploys with other MN Guardsman later this week.
Be careful, be safe, and we'll miss you Paul. Hopfuly we can get a blog update from Iraq!

Want to pass the word along to everyone that Paul arrived in Iraq this past Tuesday. The majority will be arriving a week later. He wanted to have me tell everyone "Hi" and that he is missing bicycling. Their base is being constructed and not yet completed. He wrote that the only internet that he has are their work computers. Their computers are restricted so he cannot update his blog and check out the new Cycle List companion blog. He said that he hopes to have his own internet in about a month and then he hopes to have a better connection to friends and family. Because of the construction, he said that there will be 3 guys sharing living space meant for 2 until construction is done. Also the gym is not yet completed, so there is not much to do except work, stay after work to try to get an internet connection, and then home to sleep.
